Newly Listed: True Privacy In This Gambier Island Escape Featuring Breathtaking Views In Serene Douglas Bay
This is a weekend warrior's ideal retreat, where you can relax by the campfire without reserving a crowded campsite or setting up a tent.
Nearly all trees impacting the view could be limbed, topped, or felled by an arborist. Most, if not all, trees impacting the view are on the property.
Douglas Bay is particularly sought after by buyers in the know for its more remote, secluded feel compared with much of Gambier Island.
Within the community, inland view lots are especially appealing for their more accessible price point, improved sun exposure compared with many lower Waterfront properties, and most of all, their breathtaking views.
Douglas Bay is only a few minutes farther by boat than most others on Gambier, but that slight extra distance means fewer people, greater privacy, and an especially peaceful setting.
Inside the guest cabin
Both cabins have been thoughtfully constructed with an abundance of windows and architectural features you rarely see in cabin builds
75 SqFt Guest Cabin
Lower deck measures roughly 17 feet x 18 feet at its widest points. And also features a stone fire pit
There is zero view of the neighbours from the building site.
Outside of a few private islands, I have yet to see a lot in Howe Sound with as much privacy as Lot 43.
There are two nearby beaches to enjoy at Douglas Bay, many trails to explore, and a “Jewel Pool”

There are several community docks at Douglas Bay for easy access to the properties in this development.
Shown is the largest and closest dock to Lot 43.
Most owners have “island cars” or side-by-sides for access to their properties; the community parking lot is shown. Roads are entirely internal to Douglas Bay and covered under the yearly strata fee of $1,300, which also includes dock maintenance.
